Police Outpost Provincial Park

Relax under the watchful eye of Chief Mountain and spend lazy days fishing from your boat, canoe, or the shoreline. Police Outpost is a great place for watching water birds and other wildlife or taking a hike along the forested shoreline.

Police Outpost Provincial Park is located 32 kilometers (20 miles) south of Cardston. The park offers front country camping and a group use area.

Lake Trail

This 3.2 km (2 mile) out-and-back trail features good tree cover and has an elevation gain of 41 m (135 feet). The trail leads to the island at Outpost Lake.

Border & Meadow Trail

This 4.3 km (2.7 miles) loop trail features great views of Pike Lake, Outpost Lake and Chief Mountain. This trail has an elevation gain of 89 m (292 feet).
